Breastfeeding photos

A year of breastfeeding!!!!  I love the mom I am now. Im way better because I'm sharing every moment with Landon. His support makes me better mom.  I go by our gut, our own choices.  Breastfeeding until she wants no more!

Breastfeeding with Skylar

I just passed my one year nurse anniversary with Skylar.  I hadn't planned on breastfeeding Skylar. 2 months before she was born my friend Tiffany talked to be about breastfeeding. So I went to a class.  The class was at the same hospital I had Karlee, I was expecting  the class to go badly. Instead the nurse was very informative.  Answered all my questions.   She stated that the hospital is not the same as 5 years ago.   I then researched on my own through Google and Facebook groups.  I truly believed that breastfeeding was the best way to go this time.  On 3/13/2013 @ 812am Skylar was born weighing 6lb 5 oz and 18 3/4 inches. She was tiny and my boobs were huge!  The difference in the hospital was so awesome. As soon as I got in recovery they brought me Skylar. I had her in my arms within 30 minutes.  The nurse scooped her up and put her on my boob. The first latch was so great.  I was in ah.  Every question I had they helped me.  They helped the baby latch until I had it down.  The first 6 weeks was so hard but so rewarding. I also quit smoking cigarettes the day Skylar was born. So I thank Landon for being the stable one making sure breastfeeding was successful!  The journey has been awesome.

Breastfeeding journey- Karlee

I planned in bottle feeding my daughter Karlee but in the end I gave breastfeeding a try.  Bad decision.  The nurse assigned to my room was no help wouldn't check the latch. Said it looked fine.  They were insane!  Bloody nipples within an hour of trying.  I stopped within 24 hours.

Been awhile

Been so busy working. I started working on my Bachelors degree in October.  Landon is so great with managing the kids and cooking. I'm lucky.  Skylar was a year old on 3/13 and started taking steps 8 days ago.  She loves showing me what she has learned with daddy during the day while I'm at work.  She has great fine motor skills and is super smart.  We ate starting my baby can read with her.

In August, I started at one Head Start Center. The teacher and I didn't see eye to eye. I was asked to help our another center. The other site needed me and my co-worker the teacher is awesome.  She has taught me so much.   I greatly appreciate all her help.

I love my job and with Landon help I started school in October.  One class every 5 weeks online at University of Phoenix.  I love it.  I had to drop one class but I jumped back on schedule next class.  I know I want to teach. Just not sure what grade.  Prek, k, or first.

Kassidi just received a reading and spelling award from school. Her report card is great. She's being a great big sister.  I love my mini me.  In September, I'll be a mom for 10 years.

Karlee is still as silly as can be.  She's learning and growing every day.  I can't believe she will be 6 soon.

Landon is awesome!   Great dad.  Great other half. He's in so much pain and we are still doing the waiting game for disability.  It's insane.  So we are documenting my problems now while I'm working.  My shoulder is constant pain.  I also injured my knee last year.   But I'm able to work. He is not.

Gizzmoe is pregnant due around April 5th. We tried so hard to keep our boy dogs away from her but failed.
